Hi, I’m Claire
I’m a counsellor and coach with a unique blend of training, education, creativity, professional, and lived experience.
I hold university qualifications in Fine Art (The Savannah College of Art and Design), Psychological Science (Deakin University), and Counselling (University of Canberra). Additionally, I have certificates III and IV in fitness.
My path in this area has been shaped by a diverse professional background including therapy, mental health support, psychosocial recovery coaching, support coordination, personal training, and performance coaching.
I work primarily using Solution Focused Brief Therapy — a present and future focused approach. It will help you understand where you want to go and take meaningful action to get there. Together, we’ll build on what’s already working, navigate challenges, and track your progress so each session moves you closer to your goals.
My blend of skills allows for an understanding from many perspectives. This means my approach is never one size fits all. I aim to understand your unique situation, set achievable goals, and take practical steps that work for you as an individual.
Outside of my work, I train Muay Thai and boxing, enjoy crocheting, spend time with my two huskies, go to concerts, and restore old photographs — these things allow for balance and mindfulness so I can show up fully for you.
If you’re ready for therapy that’s supportive and practical, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Some of my specialities include:
Building new habits
Developing new coping skills and strategies
Learning how to identify and talk about feelings and emotions
Thinking errors (e.g., fortune telling, ignoring the good, setting the bar too high)
Burnout
Gender identity and sexuality
Communication and boundary setting
Stress and anxiety
University study and test anxiety
I’d love to hear what’s on your mind. Book a curiosity call today.
